Mauricio Pochettino has been dealt a worrying blow just a week before the start of the new Premier League season – with midfielder Dele Alli picking up a hamstring injury.

Alli started Spurs’ penalty shoot-out victory over Bayern Munich in the Audi Cup in midweek and has generally looked sharp since returning from his break, but the muscle problem has ruled him out of Tottenham’s last pre-season outing against Inter Milan this afternoon and now looks a doubt to face Aston Villa on Saturday.

The England man suffered a similar problem during the 2018 World Cup and then missed a total of nine matches during the early parts of last season before injuring his thigh against Fulham in January, ruling him out for a further 12 matches.

  1. Get better soon Dele.
As regards the match against Inter Milan, another lazy lazy penalty by Eriksen. This goes to show he doesn’t want to play for Tottenham. So, get rid of him now, we don’t want him. If not put him on the subs bench to stew all season or stick him in the under 23’s.
