Lucas Moura will undoubtedly go down in Tottenham folklore after his sensational Champions League semi-final hat-trick against Ajax in May.
The Brazilian international was snubbed by Mauricio Pochettino for Spurs’ defeat in the final against Liverpool in June, but looks out to prove in pre-season and has been in excellent form so far.
He scored in both of Tottenham’s games during their of Singapore and China last month and made it three goals in five outings by opening the scoring again Inter Milan today.
And although pre-season goals mean very little in the grand scheme of things, what Moura did during his celebration was extremely telling – and gave a huge indication into how much the 26-year-old is enjoying life in North London at present.
Before receiving the the congratulations from his teammates, Moura kissed the Spurs badge, much to the delight of the bumper crowd inside the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
