Harry Kane has been touted a diver over the course of the past seven days – but the striker is certainly not suffering from a lack of popularity.
The England captain, who is currently with the rest of the Three Lions squad at St George’s Park as they prepare for their EURO 2020 qualifier against Bulgaria at Wembley on Saturday, took to Twitter to share some letters he has received from fans from all over the world.
Kane tweeted: “I’m lucky enough to get some great letters from fans all over the world. As a thank you I’m going tweet some that come through starting with young Ryan…”
Moments later the 26-year-old followed up with two more tweets. You can see those below:
Hi Ryan thanks a lot for taking the time to send me a letter and the drawings! Pleased you enjoyed the World Cup and hopefully your parents will let you stay up to watch our Euro games! See you at the new stadium. Harry ? pic.twitter.com/u9PHfCA9bv

Hi Rory great drawing! When you’re older you can achieve whatever you want to achieve with hard work so don’t stop practicing! ⚽️⚽️⚽️ Harry pic.twitter.com/5Mr5cvPn7J

It’s not the first time Kane has produced an act of kindness, and will certainly not be the last.
Cast your minds back to April. Young Tottenham fan Ella Markham had been receiving abuse from online trolls after a video of the Down Syndrome girl dancing went viral on the internet. And classy as ever, Kane got in touch with the 16-year-old and invited her to become mascot for the club’s final home game of the season against Everton.
Tottenham were clearly happy with their star man – you can see some of their responses below.
How can anyone hate you?
