Tottenham face Southampton in the Premier League on Saturday with the aim being to turn around their woeful run of form.
The much-changed Londoners slumped to embarrassing Carabao Cup exit at League Two side Colchester United in midweek, so Mauricio Pochettino has a number of decisions to make regarding his team selection.
Hugo Lloris will return between the sticks for the first time since the birth of his child. A back four of Serge Aurier, Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen and Danny Rose should start – this quartet is fast becoming the consensus first-choice defensive line.
Pochettino needs to change something, but he is likely to keep faith in Harry Winks and Moussa Sissoko, two players he rarely leaves out if fit. This is a good opportunity to give Tanguy Ndombele another start, too, with the Frenchman requiring more game time to settle in the Premier League.
Erik Lamela might get the nod ahead of three big names – Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli and Lucas Moura – all of whom didn’t cover themselves in glory at Colchester. Lamela will provide support for a front two of Son Heung-min and Harry Kane.
Here’s our predicted XI to face Southampton – what’s yours? Let us know in the comments section below.
Maybee Ali to replace Lamela in the second half but all the rest are good.
No and no. Lucas Moura on the right with Tanguy and Winks holding. Toss up between Lamela and Erikssen.
i agree moura on the right kane centre son left with harry sissombele in the middle.
Agreed..

Eriksen is elsewhere…. god knows where but it’s not with us.
We need two central midfielders ndobele, winks or sissoko and eriksen to join the attack.
