Serge Aurier will miss Tottenham’s Premier League game with Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday through suspension.

The Ivory Coast defender, who had initially made a strong start to the campaign after a scintillating performance against Crystal Palace earlier this month, in which he claimed two assists, was sent off for two bookable offences in Spurs’ crucial victory against Southampton last weekend.

Aurier will serve a one-match ban, meaning he’ll available for Tottenham’s game against Watford after the international break.

It means that Mauricio Pochettino has three options at right-back. Juan Foyth, who hasn’t featured this season is a possibility, whilst Moussa Sissoko could also played there as he did after Aurier’s dismissal against the Saints.

But the most likely candidate is Kyle Walker-Peters, who started the season there, but his appearance in Spurs’ Carabao Cup defeat to Colchester United last Tuesday is his only senior football since hobbling out of the Newcastle United game at the end of August.
