Tottenham captain Hugo Lloris has not suffered a broken arm, according to reports in France.
The goalkeeper was forced off inside three minute’s of Spurs’ 3-0 defeat to Brighton on Saturday afternoon. After dropping the ball and allowing Neal Maupay to put the hosts ahead, Lloris landed on his arm badly and received oxygen before being stretchered off.
His replacement Paulo Gazzaniga conceded two goals as Tottenham suffered yet another humiliation, but when the dust settled the wellbeing of Lloris became the most important topic of conversation.
And according to French journalist Vincent Menechini – as relayed by the always reliable GFFN – Lloris has not suffered a break of any kind. It’s almost difficult to believe given the footage we all saw earlier, but hopefully it’s true.

Regardless of Lloris making yet another mistake, his future in the team becomes immaterial because of the seriousness of the injury. The Frenchman was said to be screaming in pain when being taken down the tunnel.
Spurs are likely to release an official statement in the near future. Stay tuned.
