Tottenham have been handed an injury boost with the news that Ryan Sessegnon and Giovani Lo Celso have both returned to training.
We reported yesterday that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy had revealed in a meeting with on Tuesday with the Tottenham Supporters’ Trust that the pair, who both joined in the summer, were set to resume first-team training over the international break.
And now, according to the Evening Standard, they have done exactly that, although they won’t be considered for selection when Spurs face Watford in the Premier League on Saturday.
Sessegnon, who joined in a £25million deal from Fulham on transfer deadline day, is yet to feature for Tottenham since making move across London, whilst Lo Celso has made three substitute appearances, including against both Manchester City and Arsenal, but suffered a hip problem whilst playing for Argentina back in September and hasn’t played since.
Spurs’ Champions League game against Serbian side Red Star Belgrade on Tuesday is also likely to come too soon for the pair, but they’ll be targetting a return to action when Tottenham travel to Liverpool or Everton, which follow the visit of the Hornets.
