Tottenham will listen to offers for five specific players in January, with as many as four new recruits being targeted, according to the Daily Mail.

Spurs failed to complete the squad overhaul Mauricio Pochettino wanted in the summer, bringing in Tanguy Ndombele, Giovani Lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon but failing to move on any of the club’s wantaway players.

As a result of that, and the team’s mostly poor performances so far this term, it looks like there could be plenty of personnel changes when January comes around.

The Daily Mail claims Tottenham will listen to offers for Serge Aurier, Christian Eriksen, Victor Wanyama, Eric Dier and Danny Rose. It is believed the futures of Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld are also uncertain – both have entered the final year of their contracts – but they are not named alongside the five players for sale.

Aurier and Rose have both been playing regularly, so Spurs would definitely need replacements if they left. Young full-backs Max Aarons of Norwich and Nathan Ferguson of West Bromwich Albion are said to be targets.

Summer target and Sporting Lisbon playmaker Bruno Fernandes is apparently still being lined up as Eriksen’s replacement, while Tottenham are also thought to hold an interest in Mainz forward Jean-Phillipe Mateta.

If Pochettino gets his way, it could be a busy and interesting January window.

  1. Where does this guyJonathan Veal find his reports, Sessegnon has been training for weeks and been with theUnder 23sso Why not put him in the squad, his pace alone would putMmatip on the back foot when A-Arnold moves to far foward. I WOULD SUGGEST a go after 65 minutesespecially if Lamela or Son are tireingor unable to unlockthe centre of the Scousers defence. I WOULD ALSO KEEP davies at full back
