Real Madrid are interested in signing Tottenham striker Harry Kane as a replacement for Karim Benzema next summer, according to reports in Spain.
Earlier this month we relayed reports claiming Kane is on Barcelona’s list of potential long-term replacements for Luis Suarez. And with Real Madrid also on the lookout for their next reliable goalscorer, it seems the Spanish media are anticipating a bidding war for Kane.
Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo believes Real see Kane as Benzema’s heir and the La Liga giants will try to sign the England captain if Spurs fail to qualify for the Champions League this season.
Tottenham are struggling for consistency this term, leading to questions about the future of manager Mauricio Pochettino, who has also been linked with Real in the past. Indeed, we could see a situation next summer in which Pochettino is trying to take Kane with him to the Bernabeu.
Hopefully that isn’t the case as Pochettino and Kane have been central to Spurs’ rise in stature in recent years. Regardless of whether Real are interested, the Londoners will likely demand a world record fee for their talisman, so it’s difficult to see a deal happening.
Stop publishing this RUBBISH. Not one single fact.
