Ryan Sessegnon’s long wait to make his Tottenham debut could finally be over – with the 19-year-old available for selection against Everton on Sunday, according to Football.London.
The deadline signing from Fulham has been struggling with a hamstring problem that he endured whilst playing for England U21s in the summer and hasn’t featured competitively for club or country since playing for the Young Lions against Romania U21s on 21 June.
Sessegnon had initially returned to first-team training in mid-September ahead of Tottenham’s Champions League opener against Olympiacos, but suffered a set-back and only returned to training again with his new team-mates during the most recent international break.
But with Danny Rose suspended for the game at Goodison Park, the teenager could be drifted into Mauricio Pochettino’s matchday squad to face the Blues this weekend.
Full injury news will be revealed when the Tottenham manager speaks to the press in his pre-match Everton press conference that takes place at Hotspur Way on Friday afternoon.
