Mauricio Pochettino says the decision to send off Heung-Min Son against Everton following Andre Gomes’ horror injury was “completely unfair” to the player and Tottenham.
Spurs were leading 1-0 when Gomes suffered a serious ankle injury, which caused huge distress to the surrounding players. Son had tackled Gomes the moment before the injury occurred and was deemed to have put in a dangerous challenge.
But replays showed it was a freak incident, suggesting VAR should have intervened and Son shouldn’t have been sent off. Inevitably, Everton went on to equalise with their man-advantage.
In his post-match press conference, Pochettino called VAR “a big, big mess” and suggested Tottenham could appeal the red card. Watch below.
If that is the case then spurs should appeal and win the decision to rescind the red card We hope that is the case ASAP. And that Gomez recovery is speedy Best wishes to all
I agree son should not have been sent off it cost us 2 pts mind you Gomes injury and recovery is more important
Spurs shouldn’t complain about var as it’s come to there rescue too many times this season already .
You gotta be kidding..
You obviously don’t watch their games. Are you a gooner? Probably.
