Tottenham are still interested in signing Leicester City winger Demarai Gray, according to Football Insider.

Gray was linked with a move to Spurs in the summer of 2017 but a deal failed to materialise. He eventually signed a new contract with Leicester, where he has remained since. But the 23-year-old has struggled to cement a regular place in the starting line-up under a series of managers, including current boss Brendan Rodgers.

And Football Insider claims Tottenham have been encouraged by Gray’s lack of starts, which apparently could help the Londoners lure him away from the King Power Stadium – though it is believed Spurs will face competition from other Premier League clubs if they do revive their interest.

Football Insider’s report suggests Tottenham saw an offer for Gray turned down two years ago, and his value is only likely to have increased since then. That said, Gray may push for a move if his game time at Leicester doesn’t improve.

Spurs aren’t exactly in desperate need of a new winger with Lucas Moura currently struggling to get into the team. Perhaps Gray will be an option next summer if Lucas is sold.
