Jose Mourinho admitted that he perhaps lost his passion during his two-and-a-half year reign at Manchester United – but that certainly wasn’t the case during his first game in charge of Tottenham on Saturday.
Goals from Heung Min Son, Lucas Moura and a second-half header from Harry Kane ensured a winning start for Mourinho as his Spurs side comfortably beat London rivals West Ham, despite the 3-2 scoreline.
The Tottenham boss said in his pre-match press conference that he’d been “smiling for two days” since taking the job in north London and that happiness was evident at the London Stadium.
