newsnow_abanimatedTottenham goalkeeper Alfie Whiteman has signed a new long-term contract at the club.

The 21-year-old shot-stopper, who is yet to make a senior appearance for Spurs, has put pen to paper on a contract that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2022.

Whiteman has been on the bench no less than five times this campaign, including Sunday’s last-gasp victory over Wolves on Sunday and has been covering for the injured Michel Vorm and Hugo Lloris with fellow young goalkeeper Brandon Austin, who also extended his stay at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium recently.

The youngster has also appeared twice for Spurs in the EFL trophy this season as well as featuring a number of times in the Premier League 2 this term.
