Tottenham are considering a move for Norwich City starlet Todd Cantwell, according to the Daily Mail.

Cantwell enjoyed an impressive season having adapted to the Premier League admirably, scoring six goals so far. He was on the bench for Spurs’ 2-2 draw at Carrow Road last week as Daniel Farke rotated his side over the festive period, but Jose Mourinho has likely seen plenty of the 21-year-old since his return to the dugout.

The Mail claims Manchester United have added Cantwell to their summer shortlist as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer plans ahead for next season. The report goes on to say that United face competition from Manchester City and Tottenham.

Cantwell, who is apparently valued at £30 million by Norwich, is a forward thinking midfielder so perhaps Mourinho is eyeing him up as a replacement for Christian Eriksen. The Dane is out of contract at the end of the season and has been strongly linked with Inter Milan in recent days.

With the race for the top four hotting up, Cantwell’s choice of destination may depend on whether United and Spurs qualify for the Champions League.
