Tottenham midfielder Jack Roles has been rewarded for an excellent first half of the season by having his loan deal at League Two side Cambridge United extended until the end of the 2019/2020 season.
The 20-year-old, who was highly rated by former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino, initially joined The Abbey outfit on a six-month loan deal, but after a string of impressive performances, former Tottenham defender Colin Calderwood has opted to extend the deal.
Roles has scored five goals in 21 appearances for the U’s this season – including a stunning long-range effort in a 2-2 draw against Macclesfield. You can see that goal in the video below.
Elsewhere, George Marsh, who has played 18 times for Leyton Orient this term, has followed suit and will remain at Brisbane Road for the remainder of the campaign.
