Tottenham have entered the race to sign AC Milan striker Krzysztof Piatek to cover for the injured Harry Kane, according to the Guardian.

With the England captain set to miss around two months of action after suffering a bad hamstring problem in the defeat at Southampton on New Year’s Day, Spurs were always likely to be in the market to sign a temporary replacement and have now turned their attentions to the Polish frontman, who has scored four goals in 19 appearances for the Serie A giants this term.

Spurs have been looking for an adequate replacement for Kane ever since the departure of Roberto Soldado back in 2015 – although Fernando Llorente did step in during Kane’s absence last season.

The report from the Guardian suggests that Milan, who re-signed former striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic last week, would be happy to let Piatek go, but only if they receive the same £30m fee they paid Genoa for his services back in January 2019.

Fellow Premier League sides Newcastle United and Aston Villa are also interested in the Pole.

  1. Please don’t buy him because he is not good enough he just scored only 4 in 19 appearance that is why AC Milan get new striker
Jose still must buy new striker asap

  2. Raymond, you may be positively surprised.
He’s 24 but playing in professional football for only year and a half (Polish league is a joke) so he will still develop.
Check what he did last season.
I don’t think Kane would score more than 6 goals in these 19 games for Milan. What they need is not a striker but changing all midfielders. You will see what will Ibra do. He will score few at the beginning (because the whole team will be asked to play everything on him) and stop under 10 at the end of the season.

He’s also a very similar player to Kane so it should be easy to blend in the team. Unless of course the one will not completely ruin the team until then.

    In summary:
    30m – hard to say

  3. Don’t believe we need a striker;Son and Moura have goals in them and midfielders like Alli should score more.
This is as good an opportunity as ever to give Parrott(can anyone say why he didn’t play for the youth team at Wigan last night) à run;if he isn’t given a chance now, he never will – if you are good enough, you are old enough.
