Tottenham have been offered the chance to re-sign former striker Fernando Llorente on a short-term contract- but according to Sky Sports, Spurs are “unlikely” to bring back the 34-year-old Spaniard.
Llorente joined Napoli after leaving Spurs in the summer, but has been restricted to just three Serie A starts this term, scoring four goals in all competitions, including the second in their Champions League group stage victory against Liverpool back in September.
Tottenham are desperate to sign a striker in the January window and provide cover for Harry Kane, who could miss the rest of the season after suffering a hamstring injury in the New Year’s Day defeat at Southampton earlier this month – and has been ruled out until at least April.
However, despite a number of different reports in Italy linking Llorente with a move back to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Spurs aren’t thought to be interested in re-signing the veteran striker and will turn their attention elsewhere.
Get him till the end of the season and cavani and thats us sorted up front.
