Tottenham have been offered the chance to sign Portuguese striker Ze Luis, according to the Daily Telegraph.

Spurs are currently in desperate need to sign a replacement for Harry Kane, who has been ruled for around three months with an ankle injury sustained in the New Year’s Day defeat to Southampton earlier this month.

Jose Mourinho’s men have been previously linked with AC Milan frontman Krzysztof Piatek, whilst former man Fernando Llorente was offered on a loan deal until the end of the season, although Spurs are unlikely to sign the 34-year-old Spaniard.

And now Ze Luis, who has scored eight goals in 19 matches for Porto this season, is the latest player to be linked with a move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and according to a number of news outlets this morning, Spurs are in talks with the 28-year-old over a possible loan deal.

The report from the Telegraph suggests that it’ll be another deal with an option to buy and a decision is expected to be made by Thursday – with Ze Luis’ representatives confident of completing the deal.
