Tottenham laboured to a goalless draw with Watford in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Paulo Gazzaniga saved a Troy Deeney penalty midway through the second half, and Erik Lamela came millimetres from winning it for the visitors near the end.

Here’s how every Spurs player rated on the day.

Paulo Gazzaniga, 7 – No massively difficult stops to make. Earned Spurs a point with his penalty save.

Serge Aurier, 6 – Impressed defensively but didn’t put any useful deliveries in until it was too late.

Toby Alderweireld, 6 – Solid in the air and made some helpful clearances and interceptions.

Jan Vertonghen, 4 – Gave the penalty away and generally looked stretched again.

Japhet Tanganga, 5 – Booked early so found it difficult against man of the match Ismaila Sarr.

Harry Winks, 6 – Got Spurs out of trouble a couple of times by calmly dribbling out.

Giovani Lo Celso, 6 – Linked the play really well in the first half. Went missing a bit.

Erik Lamela, 5 – Initially promising but too wasteful with his final ball.

Dele Alli, 5 – A mixed bag including a couple of fine passes but missed a good headed chance.

Lucas Moura, 5 – Instigated a few counters yet he often ran into blind alleys.

Heung-Min Son, 4 – Wasn’t involved enough and wayward with his shooting.

Substitutes

Christian Eriksen, N/A – Was involved in a couple of good late moves.

Gedson Fernandes, N/A – Some really promising touches on debut.

  3. Lamela is the worst player today very shocked he didn’t get taken off, needs selling too inconsistent keeps hold of ball far to long no end product and silly fouls poor, looked like we had our striker sent off today just nothing in middle big empty space.
