Tottenham are willing to sell Kyle Walker-Peters for £15 million this month despite initially hoping to secure a loan deal for the defender, according to Football Insider.

Walker-Peters has played just once since Jose Mourinho took over from Mauricio Pochettino, lining up at right-back in the 3-1 defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League group stages.

Japhet Tanganga was preferred to Walker-Peters on the right against Middlesbrough in the FA Cup last week, all but confirming the latter is not a part of Mourinho’s plans.

Football Insider claims the Spurs hierarchy now want to sell Walker-Peters despite entering talks with Crystal Palace and Southampton over a loan deal. Discussions with those clubs over a permanent move are now said to be taking place, with Tottenham valuing the 22-year-old at £15 million.

That would be a considerable profit given that Walker-Peters came through the club’s academy. Serge Aurier is Mourinho’s first-choice right-back, and the likes of Tanganga and Juan Foyth now appear to be ahead of Walter-Peters in the pecking order despite those players primarily being centre-backs.
