Tottenham midfielder Tanguy Ndombele appears to have suggested he will be back on the pitch soon following a spell on the sidelines with a hip injury.
Ndombele has struggled with injuries since arriving at Spurs, missing multiple games with muscle problems. He most recently limped off during the first half of the defeat at Southampton on New Year’s Day, the same match in which Harry Kane ruptured a tendon in his hamstring to compound Tottenham’s bad luck.
Jose Mourinho has been left even shorter in central midfield since Moussa Sissoko was ruled out until April with a knee injury, so the sooner Ndombele is back the better.
And it looks like it won’t be long until the 23-year-old is back playing. On Sunday evening, Ndombele posted the world ‘Soon’ on Instagram under a photo of himself and Sissoko on the pitch.
Unfortunately, Sissoko probably won’t be back until the very end of the season, but Ndombele’s return – if it really is close – will be a huge boost to Spurs with some crucial fixtures coming up.
Fed up with Spurs for long delay in getting new striker and central back urgent
No point talking
Better take action
