Tottenham are closing in on the signing of PSV Eindhoven winger Steve Bergwijn, according to the Daily Mirror.

The Dutch international, who faced Spurs in last seasons Champions League, wasn’t included in the PSV squad for their game against FC Twente at the Philips Stadion this evening and reports in Holland are suggesting that a deal could be completed within the next 48 hours.

Bergwijn has scored six goals in all competitions this season and can play anywhere across the front three – with his preferred position on either wing.

The 22-year-old, who has been capped seven times for the Netherlands, was a product of the Eindhoven academy and has scored 31 goals in 149 appearances, winning three Eredivisie titles in total and two Johan Cruyff Shield’s.

The reported fee that Tottenham are going to pay is £30m and Bergwijn will become Jose Mourinho’s second January signing after the arrival of Gedson Fernandes from Benfica on an 18-month loan deal earlier this month.

  1. Not interest because Bergrijn isn’t striker as he is winger
Spurs really needs new Striker and new central defender before Friday but I am very sure Spurs will NOT get them
