Tottenham have announced the signing of Real Betis midfielder Giovani Lo Celso – whilst also confirming the departure of Christian Eriksen to Inter Milan.
The 23-year-old, who has been in excellent form in recent weeks, initially joined on a season-long loan deal from La Liga outfit Real Betis in the summer, has exercised a clause in his contract to make his deal permanent – signing a five-and-a-half year contract which runs until the summer of 2025.
Lo Celso has scored two goals in 20 appearances for Spurs and played a key part in Heung Min Son’s opener against Southampton in the FA Cup 4th Round on Saturday.
We are delighted to announce that we have exercised the option to convert the loan of @LoCelsoGiovani from Real Betis to a permanent transfer.
