Tottenham host Manchester City on Sunday aiming to build momentum after beating Norwich City last time out in the Premier League.

Harry Kane and Moussa Sissoko remain sidelined, as does Ben Davies – though the Welshman is close to a return. In any case, Jose Mourinho has a number of decisions to make regarding his team selection.

We think Mourinho will make just one change to the side that drew at Southampton in the FA Cup last weekend. Gedson Fernandes looked slightly off the pace at St. Mary’s so Erik Lamela – who assisted Son Heung-min’s goal against the Saints – could take his place.

Hugo Lloris will be protected by a back four of Serge Aurier, Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen and Japhet Tanganga – the youngster is likely to start at left-back but drop into a back three when Spurs are on the attack.

Harry Winks will sit at the base of the midfield, giving Giovani Lo Celso and Dele Alli licence to roam forward and help out a front three consisting of Erik Lamela, Son Heung-min and Lucas Moura. We could see new signing Steven Bergwijn used from the bench.

Here’s our predicted XI to face Manchester City – what’s yours? Let us know in the comments section below.

  1. I think laying out that money on Steven Berjwin means he has to be a starter with sonny and Co Co (lamela) or lucas as wing support. Dele and LoCelso to sit just behind with LoCelso taking on the old Cris role Winks to sit in front of the defence back 4 of Tanganga. Toby. Sanchez and Aurier and Hugo in the sticks this has to be our strongest formation at present. Once Ndombele is back and Gedson gets a little more experience along with the return of Ben Davies and the emergence of Troy Parrott we will have quite a formidable nucleus to mount a full attempt at the top 4.

  2. Bring Juan Foyth as a defensive midfielder alongside Lo Celso, Sessegnon in place of Aurier ,give Parrot ten or fifteen minutes towards the end of the game irrespective of the score

  3. Play Parrot from the start, he is a natural goal scorer. He will be 18 in a day or two, no one said that George Best was to young at 17 to play in the Man U first team. Not saying that parrot has the same skill set’s as Best. This is a game that we would have expected to loose, even with harry up front. If the lad looks like he is out of his depth, then substitute him at half time.

  4. WINKS is better than Dier or Gedson at the moment but would consider Foyth for that defensive shield role given greater height
