Steven Bergwijn marked his Premier League debut on Sunday afternoon by scoring a sensational volley for Spurs in their 2-0 victory over Manchester City at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The former PSV Eindhoven winger, who only joined last week, was a surprise inclusion in Jose Mourinho’s starting XI and despite a tough opening 45 minutes in a Tottenham shirt, the 22-year-old sprung into life in the 63rd minute when he chested Lucas Moura’s pass before crashing a short past Ederson in the City goal to send the White Wall into raptures.

Remarkably, one Spurs fan managed to capture the Bergwijn’s memorable moment on film.

You can see the goal and the scenes that followed below in the video below.

    • My god you’re a tit.
On the upside, good result. Gio won’t make the headlines, but what a mature performance today. A certain Dane could take a leaf out of his book, when you can’t control the game there are other things to be done.
