Tottenham advanced to the FA Cup 5th Round for the fourth time in the past five seasons after late goals from Lucas Moura and Heung Min Son helped earn a 3-2 victory over an impressive Southampton side.
Despite taking an early lead through Tanguy Ndombele’s deflected early strike, Jose Mourinho’s men poor throughout and were pegged back thanks to goals from Shane Long and a neat finish from Danny Ings.
But Spurs showed their power of recoveries and set up a last 16 date with Norwich City later this month through Moura’s excellent finish and Son’s 87th minute penalty after the South Korean was brought down by Angus Gunn having latched onto a wonderful Dele Alli pass.
