Tottenham are considering a move for Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana, according to the Telegraph.

Lallana is out of contract at the end of the season and has struggled for regular minutes at Liverpool over the last couple of years because of form and fitness issues. He has made 19 appearances across all competitions so far this season, scoring one goal.

The former Southampton midfielder played under ex-Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino at St Mary’s but did not follow the Argentine to White Hart Lane in 2014, instead opting to move to Anfield.

But now, six years later, Lallana is apparently a target for Jose Mourinho. The Telegraph claims Tottenham are ‘monitoring developments’ as the 31-year-old edges closer to the Liverpool exit door – it is suggested that he will not extend his contract with the Merseysiders.

Leicester City are said to be leading the race to sign Lallana, but Spurs, Arsenal and West Ham United have all joined the queue. Leicester are the only one of those clubs close to guaranteeing Champions League football for next term, which might be a factor if Lallana has a choice to make.
