Tottenham return to Champions League action on Wednesday and Jose Mourinho’s men will be looking to record four consecutive victories for the first time this season after recent wins over Manchester City, Southampton and Aston Villa.

But the Portuguese will have to do it without the inform Heung Min Son after the South Korean was ruled out for the rest of the season yesterday with a fractured right arm he sustained in the 3-2 victory at Villa Park on Sunday.

Spurs will also be without Juan Foyth, Moussa Sissoko and Harry Kane, but midfielder Erik Lamela returned to training yesterday after a thigh problem and could feature against the Bundesliga title chasers.

We think Mourinho will revert to a 4-3-3 and make two changes from the weekend – with Tanguy Ndombele and Giovani Lo Celso replacing Eric Dier and the injured Son.

The only real question over the back four is who will start at left-back. Serge Aurier, Toby Alderweireld and Davinson Sanchez should all start, but Mourinho will have to decide whether Ben Davies is fit enough to play two games in four days after only recently returning from a three-month injury lay-off. Japhet Tanganga is the alternative.

Moving forward, Harry Winks will be joined in a three-man midfield by Ndombele and Lo Celso – who’ll play further forward – with Steven Bergwijn and Lucas Moura occupying the wide roles and Dele Alli starting as a false nine.

XI: Lloris, Aurier, Alderweireld, Sanchez, Davies, Winks, Ndombele, Lo Celso, Lucas, Alli, Bergwijn.
