Tottenham’s winning run in the Premier League came to an end with a 2-1 defeat at Chelsea on Saturday afternoon.
Fine strikes from Olivier Giroud and Marcos Alonso ensured Antonio Rudiger’s own goal wasn’t enough for Spurs to get anything out of the game.
Here’s how every Tottenham player rated on the day.

Hugo Lloris, 7 – Could do little about the goals and made really good saves from Mason Mount and Tammy Abraham.
Japhet Tanganga, 5 – Showed his composure and strength at times on an otherwise difficult afternoon.
Toby Alderweierld, 5 – Tried some long-range passes but only one was successful, and he looked a bit slow on the turn.
Davinson Sanchez, 6 – Continued his solid if unspectacular form. The best of the centre-backs on the day.
Jan Vertonghen, 4 – Made Alderweireld look quick. One has to wonder how many games he has left in him.
Ben Davies, 4 – Constantly outmuscled by the impressive Reece James and didn’t help out going forward.
Harry Winks, 5 – An early booking meant he couldn’t offer much protection. Some decent drives forward, though.
Tanguy Ndombele, 5 – Was taken off when he was just finding his feet but he was scruffy for much of the hour he was on.
Giovani Lo Celso, 4 – His worst display since becoming Spurs’ most in-form player, with too many fouls and a poor first touch. Lucky to escape a red card.
Lucas Moura, 6 – Looked most likely to make things happen. Was unfortunate to see a good effort saved and played his part in the goal.
Steven Bergwijn, 5 – Some nice touches but wasn’t involved enough – hardly his fault as he was mainly deployed through the middle.
Substitutes
Erik Lamela, 7 – Finally gave Spurs some presence and thrust, creating the own goal with a penetrating run that was needed from others throughout.
Dele Alli, N/A – Had too little time to affect the game but did produce a couple of useful touches.
Serge Aurier, N/A – Didn’t see much of the ball in a short cameo.

Again this is down to the chairman. If we buy a striker in the summer we set up different. We did not because Daniel Levy has to get his bonus, pay the board and of course there is Joe Lewis. All down to penny pinching by Levy means we have not got quality to turn to. Enic letting the team and the fans down again.
