Tottenham crashed out of the FA Cup at the fifth-round stage losing 3-2 to Norwich City on penalties after drawing 1-1 in normal time.

Here’s how every Tottenham player rated on the day.

Michel Vorm, 3 – Made his first start for over 18 months and it was an evening to forget for the Dutchman, who produced a howler to allow Josip Drmic to equalise. Did make a fine save from Kenny McLean in the shoot-out, but the damage was already done.

Serge Aurier, 5 – Extremely wasteful going forward.

Davinson Sanchez, 5 – Struggled to deal with Norwich’s pace all evening.

Eric Dier, 7 – Continued where he left off against Wolves on Saturday. Looks far more comfortable at centre-back than in midfield.

Jan Vertonghen, 7 – Marked his return to the side with a fine early header and generally looked assured throughout.

Oliver Skipp, 7 – Made just his second start of the campaign and was one of Tottenham’s best players on the night. Rarely wasted a pass in what was an encouraging performance.

Harry Winks, 4 – Not himself. Extremely poor.

Giovani Lo Celso, 7 – One again the driving force for Spurs. Looked shattered towards the end but still managed to create a wonderful chance that Fernandes blazed over from.

Dele Alli, 5 – Showed some nice touches, but it wasn’t his evening.

Steven Bergwijn, 5 – Rarely involved before he was hooked.

Lucas Moura, 5 – Squandered a golden opportunity to make it 2-0 when he perhaps should have passed to Alli just before the break.

Substitutes

Gedson Fernandes, 6 – A extremely mixed performance from the January signing, who saw lots of the ball but wasted two extremely good shooting opportunities.

Tanguy Ndombele, 6 – Never stopped tried but it just wasn’t enough.

Erik Lamela, 6 – Injected some much-needed energy before missing the target from 12-yards.

Troy Parrott, N/A – Got given 25 minutes in extra-time, but fluffed his big moment as his tame penalty was easily saved by Krul.

  1. Mourinho got his tactics all wrong.Wasn’t Happy when he came but was prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt.
Jose, just go; nobody at Spurs wants you.
Go back to fishing sardines: it is all you are fit for.
Wouldn’t be surprised if we didn’t win another game this season.
