Jose Mourinho has been handed another major injury boost – with Heung Min Son expected to return to training on Monday, according to the Evening Standard.
Long-term absentees Moussa Sissoko and Harry Kane have both been back at Hotspur Way in recent weeks and the South Korean, who has been away from the training ground amid fears of COVID-19, is expected to join his teammates at the beginning of this week.
Son, who has been in excellent goalscoring form for Tottenham this season, netting 16 goals in 32 appearances in all competitions, hasn’t played since fracturing his arm during Spurs’ 3-2 Premier League victory over strugglers Aston Villa last month.
Mourinho initially revealed that Son could miss the remainder of the campaign, but with the Premier League currently on a minimum of a three-week break because of coronavirus, but the report from the Standard suggest that the forward could return to action next month.
Spurs could resume their campaign at Sheffield United at the start of April, although there is no guarantee that the Premier League season will resume at all – with further meetings set to take place this week.
