Tottenham remain keen on Valencia midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia, according to Sky Sports.
Kondogbia has been heavily linked with Spurs in the past, with Sky Sports first reporting a scouting mission in December 2017. The 27-year-old was on loan at Valencia from Inter Milan at the time and has sine joined the Spaniards permanently.
Having entered the final 18 months of his contract, Kondogbia’s future looks set to become a talking point once again. And Sky Sports claim Tottenham could revive their interest in the summer with Jose Mourinho aiming to strengthen his uneven squad.
The story suggests Spurs’ chief scout Steve Hitchen is a long-term fan of Kondogbia and has been keeping tabs on the Central African Republic international for some time.
Tottenham clearly need to strengthen in defensive midfield. Eric Dier has endured a difficult couple of years and it looks as if his future could be at centre-back, while Victor Wanyama finally left the club for Montreal Impact earlier this month.
Harry Winks has often sat in front of the back four this season but lacks the defensive discipline to do the job properly. With that in mind, Kondogbia would be a logical signing.
