Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic, who has been linked with Tottenham, could be allowed to leave the Santiago Bernabeu on loan according to reports in Spain.

Earlier this week we relayed a report from the Mirror suggesting Jovic will be offered to Spurs, among other clubs, this summer. The story claimed Jovic has fallen out with Madrid and will be allowed to leave the La Liga giants before the start of next season.

However, Spanish outlet Diario Madridista is reporting that Jovic will only be allowed to leave on loan, with Chelsea and AC Milan said to be interested.

There is always a chance Tottenham will be interested in signing Jovic on loan as the search for Harry Kane’s next deputy continues. Spurs are currently without a back-up striker, which – combined with Son Heung-min’s injury – has seriously affected the team’s attacking threat of late.

Jovic has scored just two goals since joining Madrid from Eintracht Frankfurt, with whom he lit up the Bundesliga before moving to the Spanish capital. Whoever signs the Serbian this summer will hope can replicate his form of old.
