On this day one year ago, Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham took a giant step towards the Champions League last-four after beating Manchester City 1-0 in their quarter-final first leg at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Harry Kane limped off with an ankle injury just before the hour-mark, but less than 20 minutes later Heung Min Son wonderfully fired past Ederson in the City goal to ensure Spurs took a one-goal lead to Manchester the following week, where Pochettino’s men lost 4-3 on the night, but progressed on away goals.
