Eric Dier says Tottenham’s Champions League comeback at Ajax last season is his “favourite footballing moment” – even though he didn’t play!
The Spurs midfielder was filmed speaking to two members of Maidenhead Spurs who are currently fundraising for the NHS amid the ongoing coronavirus crisis.
After talking to Dan and Ed about their admirable work, Dier spoke to the pair about their favourite Tottenham moments. And of course the Ajax game came up.
Dier said the fact he wasn’t playing meant he was able to appreciate the moment Lucas Moura sent Spurs through to the final even more from the sidelines.
