31-times Jupiler Pro League winners Anderlecht are reportedly interested in signing Michel Vorm and young goalkeeper Jonathan De Bie, according to Belgium outlet DH.
Anderlecht, who’re currently managed by former Manchester City defender Vincent Kompany, are looking for experience in the goalkeeping department and would be able to sign the 36-year-old on free transfer this summer – with his current deal at Spurs expiring at the end of the season.
Vorm was released by Tottenham at the end of last season, but re-signed in October to cover for the injured Hugo Lloris, although he’s made just one appearance this term – the FA Cup fifth-round exit to Norwich City, an evening in which the Dutchman make a costly error which took the game into extra-time.
Either way, Vorm is unlikely to be offered a new contract in North London, with youngsters Alfie Whiteman and Brandon Austin expected to battle it out to become the club’s third goalkeeper.
Meanwhile, De Die, who has never been involved with the first-team, could also be on his way to the Belgium capital – with Anderlecht in desperate need of a third-choice keeper.
