Tottenham want to sign American teenager Taylor Booth from Bayern Munich and are also interested in his 16-year-old brother Zach, who currently plays for Real Salt Lake’s academy, according a report in the Daily Mail.
Taylor, who doesn’t turn 19 until the end of this month, was signed by the Bundesliga champions from Salt Lake last January – and since been playing for Munich’s Under-19s team, who sit four points clear at the top.
The midfielder has scored twice in the UEFA Youth League this season, and has also chipped in with a host of assists – two of which came in a 3-0 victory over Spurs back in mid-December, when the German’s eliminated Ryan Mason’s side from the competition in their final group match.
And according to this report, Mourinho’s coaching staff were impressed with Taylor’s contribution that evening and have enquired about bringing him to the Premier League.
Elsewhere, his younger brother Zach, who remains at home in the States, is also on Tottenham’s radar having been on trial at the club before Christmas – with a number of English sides, including Leicester City, Norwich City and Fulham also keen on the teenager, who has already been capped by USA at Under-17 level.
