It’s hard to believe it, but it’s actually been exactly seven years since Gareth Bale signed off at White Hart Lane in classic Gareth Bale fashion.
The Welsh wizard would end up joining Real Madrid just a few months later, and did feature in a pre-season friendly against Swindon Town in July, but his stunning strike on the final day of the 2012-2013 campaign against Sunderland was his final contribution for Spurs.
And although Bale’s long-range effort wasn’t enough to earn Tottenham a place in the top-four – with Arsenal also winning at Newcastle on the same afternoon – it was another memorable moment in a simply unforgettable campaign from the flying winger.
