Tottenham will play Norwich City in a friendly on Friday 12 June, one week before the two club’s restart their Premier League seasons, according to the Telegraph.
The report doesn’t state where the game will be staged, but says that teams are only allowed to play against opposition they have already faced twice this season – with the two sides playing out a 2-2 draw at Carrow Road in December before Heung Min Son’s goal earned Spurs a 2-1 win in the reverse fixture three weeks later.
But Daniel Farke’s men have tasted victory in north London this term, knocking Mourinho’s Tottenham out of the FA Cup in the fifth-round on penalties back in March, in Spurs’ final home game before all football was suspended amid the Coronavirus outbreak.
Both sides have already played in-house games and have now been given the go-ahead in what will be Step 2 of Project Restart, as the return of the Premier League takes another giant step towards its resumption.
Mourinho’s side restart their campaign against Manchester United on 19 June, whilst the Canaries, host Southampton at Carrow Road earlier in the day.
