Tottenham continue to be linked with Philippe Coutinho, with reports in Spain claiming the club’s interest in the midfielder is ‘real’.

Last month, we relayed a Football Insider story that claimed Tottenham – and Coutinho’s other suitors – have been told they must pay an £8 million fee to take the Brazilian on loan next season, as well as paying his £200,000-a-week wages in full.

And now, Spanish outlet Sport (as relayed by Sport Witness) is claiming Spurs are genuinely interested in signing Coutinho on a permanent basis.

Barcelona are said to be keen to recoup €90 million (around £80.75m) of the huge fee they paid Liverpool for Coutinho in January 2018. However, it is believed they will lower their valuation to €50 million (around £44.8m) if suitors are also willing to offer players in exchange.

Perhaps surprisingly, the report suggests Tottenham could offer Tanguy Ndombele and Toby Alderweireld to Barcelona in order to secure Coutinho’s services.

We can’t see Spurs giving up a centre-back of Alderweireld’s quality during a summer of uncertainty when it comes to transfers – it would be very difficult to replace the Belgian on the cheap.

The very talented Ndombele should also arguably retained and given a chance to redeem himself after a difficult debut season in England.

  1. Just seen that all clubs in the premier league will have blm on their shirts instead of players names. Do these clubs know what blm stands for. The changes they want in the government and the country. Shows how stupid these clubs are. To say stop racism is one thing but to back a socialist organisation like blm leaders is another. No backing of football clubs by myself until they wise up.

      • Absolutely agree. Maybe you could understand, but not condone, for one match. But until the end of the season? I wonder how that poor police woman who got knocked off her horse is doing? Let’s hope she is not a football fan, as she will be thrilled when she tunes in and sees that on the shirts!

        • Good. No one wants any of you guys watching. BLM have done some extreme things at times but sometimes that’s what is needed after the years of oppression.

Take your thinly veiled racism elsewhere.

          • Tim at New York rally 5 years ago BLM chanted ‘What do we want? Dead Cops. When do we want them? Now. A couple of days later an African American man with mental health issues travelled to New York and killed two cops (one white, one hispanic) as he came out of the train station. Shortly after this there was the BLM rally in Dallas – Five white cops were shot by a ‘Black Supremacist’. Shortly thereafter a ‘Black Separatist’ shot three white cops in Baton Rouge before turning the gun on himself. This action took place after days of agitation from BLM after an African American man had died in police custody. Another African American had been killed by a fellow protestor at one of these rallies.

          • Sorry Tim what do you mean by you guys. Are you saying something about us please explain more. I am interested to hear what you have to say.

      • Is there racism against black members of staff or players or not. If you say no, then I suppose all those who see it and witness it are liars?
You think that monkey chants and bananas thrown at Black players and staff is ok? You think those people who carry out those acts, then switch off and don’t project their discrimination in other forms when out in amongst the wider public? When they are making hiring and firing decisions in their jobs? When they are dealing with matters of justice, law and order? When they sit on a jury?
        Hmmm…I wonder.

If there is racism, what do you propose to do to eradicate it?
What messaging do you put and where? Remember we are in an era where slogans do matter. Messaging does matter, symbolic or otherwise.

        • So you are saying someone should be prompted not on ability but on colour just because there are none. Nothing to do with who is best just let’s make everything equal. You seem to have all the answers here so you tell us who are these top black people who should be promoted in football. You could not answer me on why there are no black swimmers making it to the top so give us answers not more vague questions.
In reference to the chants I do recall a black guy I think was from Chelsea making claims twice once against the spurs crowd and despite a long investigation by spurs no evidence could be found which was the same in his other case he claimed. Not saying it does not happen I don’t know as I’m not there but as in all things in life if you make a claim of something it must be proved for someone to be prosecuted. A bit like if you go into someones house with a gun that still has to be proved. Once proved you can be prosecuted and sent to jail like what happened with Mr Floyd. Does not make his death any more right but the man who committed it will also go to court.

    • You are a racisten sheep’s clothing ! And socialism isn’t necessarily bad look at the NHS that’s a socialism at its best. Would be better if the Gov. would support it better.

      • I am a racist well there you are. Well as you said it boulder it must be true then. As for the NHS as a patient of it for many years now it is not the funding that is the problem its the corruption. Its the corruption of governments from all sides who have tied the NHS to the large firms who supply them drugs at vastly inflated prices.

  2. The BLM logo is all wrong. When an organisation pulls down our statues and wants Winston Churchill
Put in a museum we treading on thin ice to support them.
They should have a good look backwards and see just just how many Black players are now enjoying wonder salaries playing football.
Maybe many White British players feel they are not being treated fairly!
Now that’s a good talking point?

    • BLM stands for Black Lives Matter. What’s wrong with putting a fact on the shirts?

As for your comment “They should have a good look backwards and see just just how many Black players are now enjoying wonder salaries playing football. Maybe many White British players feel they are not being treated fairly!” – why did you not counter that with “On the other hand, there aren’t enough Black coaches and managers in jobs of power in Football or the top FTSE 100 companies” Why do you say your comment like they should be “grateful for what they have”, instead of ALSO pointing out all the other unequal statistics in football and in life.
If the clubs replaced players from abroad i.e. foreign imports, maybe with local players more White British players would get a chance? Why didn’t you point that out as an issue rather than picking on Black players?

When did the organisation say it wanted Winston Churchill’s statue in a museum? In a public debate – you will have opinions on both sides. Don’t label it as an organisation! British thugs who go on England Football away games to start riots, do they speak for you too? Or just themselves?

When Saddam Hussein was toppled in Iraq, and we saw on TV, pictures of all those people topple thier former oppressor’s statue. Did you think, shame on those thugs? Or did you think, “I understand, good for you – and your liberty” Now take that lens to Bristol and the downing of a statue of a mass slave trader who enable the stealing and kidnap of black humans and became very rich doing it. If I paid enough money and was able to have a glorified statue of Hitler in a prominent place – and with no mention of his crimes, I suppose you would be ok with that? It would not anger you – that your forefathers fought against a fascist tyrant and now you have a statue of him prominently placed in front of you? No? Hmmmm…

      • That is such a load of old nonsense. You equate Hitler or even Saddam Hussein with a slave trader in Bristol.
You are way off the mark.
Just a reality check on why it is unreasonable to start tearing down historical monuments in this country as if we invented the practice.

Slavery was a very common practice

Slavery may be wrong but it’s occurred almost everywhere and from ancient times:

Religious texts in Judaism, Islam and Christianity all recognise slaves. The Mayans and Aztecs kept slaves in the Americas. The Sumerians and Babylonians kept slaves in the Near East. The Egyptians kept huge numbers of slaves, including the Jews, Europeans and Ethiopians. The Greeks and Romans kept slaves as soldiers, servants, labourers and even civil servants. The Romans captured slaves from what are now Britain, France and Germany. The Ottomans and Egyptians kept slaves and used slave armies. In Africa there were a number of societies and kingdoms which kept slaves before there was any regular commercial contact with Europeans, including the Asanti, the Kings of Bonny and Dahomey. In Imperial Russia in the first half of the 19th century one third of the population were serfs, who, like slaves in the Americas, had the status of chattels and could be bought and sold.

In 1807, Britain declared all slave trading illegal. The king of Bonny (in what is now the Nigerian delta) was dismayed at the conclusion of the practice.

We think this trade must go on. That is the verdict of our oracle and the priests. They say that your country, however great, can never stop a trade ordained by God himself.

The Russian serfs were freed in 1861 by Emperor Alexander II.

Four years later slavery was abolished in the southern states of America following the Southern defeat in the American Civil War.

        • Neil Ogilvie – I think equating Hitler or Saddam Hussein to a slave trader in Bristol is very pertinent and contextual. All are reasonably considered to be complicit in mass murder and persecution of people and thier liberty.

You failed to answer the specific questions I posed. Are you avoiding them or void of any opinion?

          1) When Saddam Hussein was toppled in Iraq, and we saw on TV, pictures of all those people topple thier former oppressor’s statue. Did you think, shame on those thugs? Or did you think, “I understand, good for you – and your liberty”?

          2) If I paid enough money and was able to have a glorified statue of Hitler in a prominent place – and with no mention of his crimes, I suppose you would be ok with that? It would not anger you – that your forefathers fought against a fascist tyrant and now you have a statue of him prominently placed in front of you?

I suppose your answers will tell us a lot about what you are a believer of.

      • ? A Wise man will ALWAYS be a Wise man, because he knows the Evidential and obvious TRUTH and A Fool will ALWAYS be a Fool, ?because he is Ignorant and supports Misinformation and LIES. No amount of Debate, Facts, Documentation, History, Media, Ideology, Propaganda, Philosophy, Theory or Doctrine can change or ever influence WHAT WE ALREADY KNOW TO BE THE BLATANT TRUTH. Pointless unnecessary Death, War, Bloodshed, Anger, Hate, Injustice, Power, Corruption, Money, Greed and all destructive forms of Negativity are WRONG and those Perpetrators and Sadists who continue to condone and Justify these heinous acts of Inhumanity will ALWAYS be in Conflict with their opposing Adversaries of Truth, Wisdom, Global Unity, Justice and Love. There are forces and Higher Powers that created the Universe which go beyond the Arrogance, Ego and very short Lifespan of an Elite minority of sinister cowards trying to exploit, Manipulate and destroy all of us as we bicker, moan and Argue amongst each other, when we should ALL be Fighting as ONE to Survive and protect and Love our children, Family and friends to establish the Survival and happiness of our future Generations … ?

  3. BLM stands for Black Lives Matter. What’s wrong with putting a fact on the shirts? Kick racism out. Another fact. Saying “I wonder how that poor police woman who got knocked off her horse…hope she is not a football fan” and things like that are very unwise and ignorant.

With all protest, you can have peaceful and some more extreme examples – and some who just hijack the vast majority of peaceful protest. Yes, we support the police, and the good work they do – the vast majority are amazing. But we also should highlight and reform examples when the police or the system they work under, or any part of society is unfair toward minorities and is used to target them and disproportionately cause suffering. Hooligans exist within football and many are also linked with far-right movements – but that doesn’t stop everyone else from having to supporting football. Likewise, BLM is a cause which can be supported by all of us, whilst also not condoning violent actions against innocent police officers. In the poor police woman’s case, the reason she got injured in the line of duty was falling off the horse – not because a protester hit her. However, it may be right to conclude too, that the actions which led the horse to bolt may have been wrong. Sometimes we have to also put context in. We all feel angry or frustrated at times, and all react differently. What if you from when you are born, you are not being treated fairly – in education, in the street, in the job market, in the media, in how you are treated by the law, in how you are treated when you walk into a pub, in how everyone labels you, in your life-chances, in how you are represented in the halls of power? Would you feel happy and fun-loving and respectful? Maybe not. So whilst not encouraging or condoning violence – some people are frustrated.

Same as when those hooligans go abroad during England football games, does that mean that nobody should support their country in fear of being labelled as supporting those violent thugs?

When Saddam Hussein was toppled in Iraq, and we saw on TV, pictures of all those people topple thier former oppressor’s statue. Did you think, shame on those thugs? Or did you think, “I understand, good for you – and your liberty” Now take that lens to Bristol and the downing of a statue of a mass slave trader who enable the stealing and kidnap of black humans and became very rich doing it. I doubt if the people of England would condone having a glorified statue of Hitler in a prominent place – and with no mention of his crimes.

    • At a New York rally 5 years ago BLM chanted ‘What do we want? Dead Cops. When do we want them? Now. A couple of days later an African American man with mental health issues travelled to New York and killed two cops (one white, one hispanic) as he came out of the train station. Shortly after this there was the BLM rally in Dallas – Five white cops were killed by a ‘Black Supremacist’. Shortly thereafter a ‘Black Separatist’ killed three white cops in Baton Rouge before turning the gun on himself. This action took place after days of agitation from BLM after an African American man had died in police custody. Another African American had been killed by a fellow protestor at one of these rallies.

      • Who is BLM? A person? Does it have members?

Or is it simply BLACK LIVES MATTER. – i.e. a statement of fact.

“What do we want? Dead Cops. When do we want them? Now.” – just because some people said this doesn’t mean they represent the entire population of those who think BLACK lives do matter. So why do you write your comments as if the entirety of those who support BLM (as a movement) were chanting that?

You pointed out “an African American man with mental health issues travelled to New York and killed two cops (one white, one hispanic) as he came out of the train station” – the point being he had mental health issues.
Do you agree that in the USA, there are incidents of Police men/women who unjustly killed a black person? And then do you think that as a proportion of kills, in terms of the ethnic backgrounds of those killed vs that of the whole population – it sounds ok?

As for “Five white cops were killed by a ‘Black Supremacist’.” – Whilst also terrible, why don’t you also list the number of people killed by White Supremacists too? Just for balance – and to show that in society there are these supremacists calling themselves Black or White or Fascist – and they do not represent us.

The point is – is the system fair and systematic just, unbiased and fit-for-purpose. If not, what steps will we take to put that right? Hopefully peaceful ones with reason and rationale.

We cannot condone the “No Black, Irish or Dogs” type of messaging.

There will always be people who resort to violent action after an event, in retaliation. How do you think the US military, the UK military react to threat or violence? They just go bomb people, caves, factories, sometimes (often) they kill innocent people and calmly call them “collateral damage”. Doesn’t mean it is always right. The very law & system and democracy that discourages us from use of violence – also uses violence to stamp its authority, and sometimes to defend us. Otherwise police wouldn’t have guns, tasers, batons. Otherwise we wouldn’t have drone strikes & bombers & guns for our military. When is it right to use Force to kill people? When is it NOT right?

Who decides? And don’t give me democracy. If there was democracy – then things would be a lot fairer when we allocate public funds, fines, how we hand out justice, how we fund our nurses and carers.

        • First off I condemn the rascist torture of George Floyd that culminated in his meurder. Furthermore it should be noted that while the cop was killing George in a cruel and painful manner he was not only allowed to do so but was actually protected (from bystanders) by three other cops (they too have been charged).

Black Lives Matter is not just a slogan it is an actual organisation – Please see the link (read to the end) https://blacklivesmatter.com/what-we-believe/.

And here is a fact – Three times (not once) after they held or were holding rallies cops were killed. And they chanted for cops to be killed. I accept these rallies took place after African Americans had been killed (eg Eric Garner in NY).

          • James j.
I read it to the end.

            The end reads:
We cultivate an intergenerational and communal network free from ageism. We believe that all people, regardless of age, show up with the capacity to lead and learn.

We embody and practice justice, liberation, and peace in our engagements with one another.

    • Like I said in my earlier post while it is right to tackle and stand up to racism it is wrong what the league has done. To support an organisation like blm which is socialist in views and anti British. When I look at sport in Britain all I see is many young black athletes taking part in many different sports which is great and right. However to allien its self to an organisation which is against all we hold and love in Britain like freedom then its just wrong. To put blm beside the NHS is wrong. In the NHS we have this year been shown what a treasure we have and the heroes we have in the doctors and nurses who have worked so hard to protect us.
While what happened to Mr Floyd was wrong let us not forget this man had a big history of drugs and violence and armed violence with a gun put to a womans stomach to get drugs or money for drugs.
I’m sorry but ask me to support anything in this mans name is wrong. We all have a choice in life and Mr Floyd made his choice and to excuse it because you came from a poor area or family is bull.
A man recently in the media put it very well that the reason there is a lot of black people stopped by police because in that area most crime was committed by blacks in black dominated areas.
The league would get more respect if they issued a statement saying they were against all forms of bullying and racism but considering they were badges which are in support fair play for all I don’t think we needed this
As far as a few well I witnessed a video taken from the belfast demonstration in which a young black woman stood in the middle of the crowd and shouted abuse about Britain and the Union jack flag. While she is entitled to her views in her own home to do this at a rally/demonstration and then be applauded by a lot of the crowd shows we are not talking about small numbers.
Sport in Britain has been very good to people of all races from all over the world but it should remain impartial at all times and this sends out a message saying we only support blm. What about other people from other countries and colours including white people.
I will not support my club while it supports blm as it is socialist but if they say they are against racism that is completely different.

      • How many British Black managers, coaches and owners of football clubs can you name?

How many Bristish Black swimmers are there. Not all sports are equal.

You repeated other’s view that “the reason there is a lot of black people stopped by police because in that area most crime was committed by blacks in black dominated areas” – but you do not think that if the police equally concentrated on crimes i.e. things which are unlawful then maybe a lot more white persons may be caught as criminally liable?

Speeding (it is against the law isn’t it?), Financial crime, racial crime, tax evasion, mis-selling products, chanting racist things at a football match.

We can all concentrate on a certain type of crime, and then say more black or more white people do that crime. Lets police it all then. Philip Green (the guy who controls Arcadia) was alleged to be a sex pest to women. He is white, is he in jail? Or do we only criminalise certain crimes? Wife beaters? Are they all in jail? Dodgy mechanics? Point is – the establishment chooses to promote and police a narrative that portrays Black people as “more likely to be criminal than their white counterpart” – this is not true.
But the more that narrative is perpetuated, the more life chance restrictions are faced by black people. Law abiding peaceful black people who are overlooked for promotion at work, overlooked for jobs in the first place, people cross the street – to the side where the white person is, or don’t want to be served by the black person at a restaurant, till, bank counter, or have black plumber, bricklayer, doctor….this is systemic and every-day.
Then the police stop and search you more. When you ask why, well the response is a cleansed version of…”you’re more likely to be a mugger”

I don’t think that of black or white people. Otherwise I would walk about thinking more white people are likely to be bombers (IRA supporting?) or rapists, or sexual pests..or football hooligans.

As for Floyd’s murder. are you now arguing that the police stopped him for $20 dollars or that they knew about all the other alleged statements you have made? So are you now saying that they went there justified and intent on killing him?? Especially with the news that the cop who knelt on his knee was already known to be racist in his role at a local nightclub & had dealings there with Floyd?

        • Ok can I ask you to answer a question for me. Are you a sinn fein mp or supporter because you sure sound like one. The reason I ask this is I am from Northern Ireland. I have had friends killed during the troubles here and everything you say is what I would expect from sinn fein. They always portrayed the poor innocent guy when the truth was that guy was in a garage somewhere making a bomb or planning to shoot someone. So please feel free to apologise to me when you read this because I have had a life full of sinn fein /blm. They are the same in that they stand back as an organisation, the plan a demonstration, they get their people in the crowd to fan the flames and then they organise the media. I have been threatened many times in my life so I fear nothing and no one so let me deal with yourself.
I don’t have to name any people who are managers or coaches because it is up to the individual to apply for the job. It is up to you or them to prove discrimination is taking place. Just because there are none does not mean discrimination happened. It should always be the best person gets the job Not by colour as that is discrimination. Now as for people being overlooked for jobs well again that is up to you or the individual to show proof. However I will give you some proof. My brother who lives in London was walking home from work one evening. He is white I know shame on him. That must have been what the three black guys who jumped him and put him in hospital for three days thought. I don’t know but he unlike myself is very quiet so I know he would not have said anything to them. Now had I or his father been there we would have explained to them the error of their actions. Lucky for them but that would have been the same had they been white. Perhaps my brothers mistake was he did not cross the street but he was not brought up like you. He is a decent decent guy who is a career in the community lives with a woman who used to live with a black guy and had a child to him. My brother does not care but don’t let that get in your self righteousness was. Let us remember blm. They are that us the people behind the marches no different to sinn fein in Northern Ireland. They fan hatred but hide in the background never showing themselves when there is trouble but they are there.
To finish let me deal again with Mr Floyd. Are you saying he did not have a criminal record. Are you saying he was not part of a group of people who entered a house with a gun and threatened a woman to get money or drugs. Are you trying to say these things did not happen because a quick check will tell you they did.
Like I said what happened to him was wrong and the police officer is in custody or was but I guess Mr Floyd will always be a gentle giant in your eyes. I wonder what the woman who had the gun pointed at her by him thinks. I wonder when he was standing there pointing that gun at her did she think what a gentle giant you are.
I guess the girl in Belfast who shouted f the union jack to the crowd was she right too in your eyes.
As for the swimmers well when I was in the army I worked with a black guy. He was a great laugh we got on great but he hated water. I asked him why he said he thought it was something to do with black people hating the cold. I don’t know why don’t you ask some black people why there is no top swimmers but I find your points evasive and very wishy washy. So please don’t ask me to support blm. I am against racism but I will not support this blm organisation that has deep racist views and support violence.
One more question after the killing of the police officers by blm supporters did the blm condem completely what happened. Just asking.

          • Wow – a guy Northern Ireland eh Spursnut d? And making statements like “when I was in the army I worked with a black guy. He was a great laugh we got on great but he hated water. I asked him why he said he thought it was something to do with black people hating the cold”

Obviously because you worked with one black guy, who you say hated water, he must have spoken to you for all Black people? You sound ignorant. And what does “black people hating the cold” comment have to do with this discussion? Why bring it up?

Why shame on your brother for being white? Who says that? Are you ashamed of your own brother? Or for being white? Wierd thinking you have there…

As for “three black guys who jumped him and put him in hospital for three days though” – does that mean those black guts are representative of all black guys? If that were true, then by extension do you think everyone should think that all white men, like you, from Northern Ireland are terrorsists and bombers? I should think not.

Look at what you write – and see how your views are biased and sound bigoted. If you only worked with one black guy, how can he b representative of all black people? Do you represent all the white people of Northern Ireland? Everyone has differences. Don’t make judgements and assumptions.

Black Lives Matter are words. A statement of fact.

Your words: “It is up to you or them to prove discrimination is taking place” suggest nothing is true unless you can prove a voice or video recording or that event exists. So a sister who says another man inappropriately or sexually assaulted her, you say to her “Prove it, otherwise it never happened” – does that sound right to you?

A man spits in your face. A day later, after you have had a shower and a sleep, you tell your friend how bad that experience was, and your friend says: “Prove it, otherwise it never happened”? See what you started?

As for prejudice faced by people, if even you a person from Northern Ireland do not accept that prejudice exists – well, we have no hope of humanity from you. Tell me about what happened today, what were those people abusing, assaulting and harassing the police in London doing? Protecting statues were they?

At the same time, on the same day – in another part of the city those in support of Black Lives Matter held a peaceful rally, to make people aware that inequality needs to be addressed. Have a good evening 🙂

  4. Safe to say racism is alive loooool how dare you talk about a black players salary, he has worked for that what does the colour of his skin have to so with it……to many short sighted bigots……btw our beloved spurs have many black players even more coming through the youth team so enjoy. …….bunch of Alf Garnetts looool

  5. the simple fact that you have to spell out BLM is pathetic. the US have their Police brutality problem yes, but no one cares if a white dude is shot by the copo? Tbf mainly blacks and hispanic shoot cops dead so I don’t give a fcuk. Where are all the african american people in those protests? I see 75% white!!

    • One wrong doesn’t make it right.
75% black or 75% white – just killing people isn’t right.

      White or Black, deaths matter.
It is when very clearly the proportion of questionable deaths in police custody and incarcerations (people in prison) are disproportionately Black we have to ask questions.

Take the number of white and black people who go to court for the same type of crime. Then how many of those end up in jail. What colour are they? If the police are doing their job and are dispensing justice correctly…then the ‘mistakes’ in arrest will be equally spread.

If the above is true – i.e. police have done an equal and good job…
So why are you more likely to end up in jail if you are black, but end up released or let off back in society if you are white – for the same crime? Is the justice system biased against colour.

All this matters. To people’s lives. Both Black & White lives matter. But maybe the system needs a little reminder that black lives matter too – just the same and equal to white lives. That’s all the movement is about.

That is why so many white and black people are protesting. Together.

    • How liberal is Britain?

Do black people suffer racial abuse and monkey chants? Or did that go un-noticed by you?

Do black people have the same chances of promotion and job prospects in every profession (if we looking at level education & qualifications of candidates of all colour & race). Studies have proved NO.

Do you read the comments posted on these blogs? On Facebook? All sound Liberal to you?

  6. BLM on shirts is ridiculous and biased. All lives matter, I am neither black nor white, my family lives in 14 countries around the world due to persecution. All colours are guilty of this, Africa is in such a state because of the corruption of of the leaders of the countries, the majority being black. White continents (of origin) are being told to get their house in order when the black continent is not doing the same. Everybody wants equality and parity, someone mentioned more black football managers, great, Ince, Hughton and Powell are recent ones, which of the top 10 premier league clubs would you replace them with? Still have to be good at your job. As I said earlier, I’m neither black nor white but somewhere in between.

    • Jagged – who mentioned Africa?
Why is your argument a White vs Black continent?

If a A black person born in the UK, schooled in the UK and working in the UK has to endure racism and discrimination, what has that got to do with Africa? He is a British citizen suffering discrimination and lower than equal life chances than his white peers in his own country. So address that – because neither he, nor you can address the sovereign issues of another continent or country from the UK.

Black Managers – why pnly base your argument on top 10 Premier league clubs? 92 clubs in the professional men’s league. What was your argument?

If I explained to a man in the street that we are a multi-cultural society, and we have a lot of black football players, and cleaners and catering staff at clubs…”How many coaches and managers and boardroom members would you expect to be in post today, out of all 92 clubs?”….what would the reasonable answer or assumption be? Then when I point out the real figure – what would I be able to offer as a way of explaining the discrepancy in numbers? Answer those questions.

You can’t say that there’s not good enough people to be representative in those positions of power out of 92 professional clubs! Name me how many are BLACK, then try tell me access and chances of appointment are equal

      • What utter rubbish you talk “P”. The jagged comment was fair in everything he said and was accurate. Football at the top is about success but I’m guessing you will question this on some strange point. Many young black players in Britain have become millionaires in football and have rightly helped their families and maybe their friends. Why have they not went on to become top managers maybe they have seen in their time as players how difficult being a manager is or maybe they just made enough money and want to enjoy life. All you seem to be saying to anyone on here is we are black and we deserve the better jobs not because we are the best person for the job but no because the equality thing. Like I said earlier I have seen what happens when someone is given a job because in her case there was no female supervisors in the job and the truth be told she was terrible.
Now before you accuse me of labeling which I know you will there have also been terrible men supvisiors but it did not make her appointment any more right.
If someone is good enough they should get the job however they must also understand they must also be fair if they get the job.
Truth is any black managers named by jagged above were terrible and would not have made it in the premier league well they couldn’t make it in the championship. Blm seems to have all the answers so maybe they can help these young men to improve so they can have a chance at a top job as long as they prove themselves first. Maybe blm could buy a football club with all that gold they got from that film I mentioned and install one of those men as the manager.
I notice you did not deal with the African problem is there a reason for this. There does seem to be major problems there but you don’t seem interested. Why?. Is it not affecting young black people?.
Why do blm only want to talk about racism in the USA and Britain but don’t want to talk about Africa and other mainly black countries that have major problems. I wonder why this is. Do white people suffer in these countries maybe you could answer this. Why is it when you go to countries like the Dominican Republic a lot of the hotels are in gated areas. Why is this. Why are people told not to venture out.
Tell me when I visited florida years ago I was told to stay well away from areas that had a large black community and if I found myself lost in my car in these areas to keep driving. I am guessing it would be a bit like driving through large republican areas of northern Ireland if you were a protestant you might have problems.
With you it’s you refuse to admit black people do commit crime so they should be punished but more because you are black you must be a criminal. Like I told you about the black man who said that the reason there is more crime in black areas and more black people convinced is because in these areas they commit it and that came from a black man.
There are massive opportunities in Britain for everyone if you work for it. I worked for a man many years ago who went on to become a very very successful and rich man. Why is this important because he was roman Catholic and if you listened to sinn fein in Northern Ireland that was not possible but he had a work ethic and he stuck to it and good on him I say.
So work hard and you will succeed but please no cards because they hold no weight with me.

  7. I like spurs alot they are a good team but omg why would would a play like Coutinho go to spurs let’s be real I don’t ever see it but it would be nice to have a player like him in the team

  8. BLM is an anti zionist, antisemitic. Organisation. No way should Spurs sponsor them. They are a very dangerous anarchist group.

    • So let’s deal with the way you took things that I said and totally turned them around.
So in the earlier discussions you asked why there were no black famous swimmers or lack of and my reply to this is.
When I was in the army…..
My point from this is from talking to the one black guy who served with me he hated the cold so maybe just maybe that is why there is no black swimmers I don’t know but it is not for me to know or explain that is for someone in the black community to address. Maybe because the rewards are not as great or maybe its just not cool I don’t know.
Let deal with the shame on my brother thing.
That was a term which relates to his attack by the three black guys I note you quickly turned that around.
I love my brother always have always will however what happened to him was as much wrong as what happened to Mr Floyd in that my brother was innocent. My brother does not take drugs, my brother never robbed anyone at gunpoint infact my brother unlike Mr Floyd did not have a criminal record. He did not cross the road passing the three black young men because unlike you he was not racist. He did not feel the need.
My question to you is why did them three men do to him what they did was it because he was white on his own.
In life to say I have been the victim of something well anyone can say that does not mean you have actually been a victim. Band wagon jumpers and there are enough of them out there. To report something to the police and have it proved in a court you need proof to otherwise nothing is true or everything is true. This is my point.
You were the one who made the point about crossing the road because someone was a different colour my point to this was my brother did not cross the road and look what happened. You make many points however don’t actually back them with anything.
Growing up in Northern Ireland I never met any black people because really there were not any or very very few who kept themselves to themselves. When I joined the army over here we only had one guy who in my seventeen years who served with me. Like I said we got on very well together and had many good times I went to his daughters funeral. I to this day count him as a good friend even though are lives have taken different turns and I hardly ever see him now. He was the only black person I ever had a chance to talk to so how can I say if black people like the water or feel the cold more the words I gave you were his words in response to lack of black swimmers but he as a black man said that black people feel the cold more. This has since been confirmed by very recent people I know who have black friends who say the same thing but that is something like I said the black community can work on.
To sum up what I see here from blm is a card being played. We are suffering so give us what we want because of what happened hundreds of years ago to our community. Well no black person today has ever truly been a slave and no white person today has ever owned one or wants to. However we still get this we want more. More what. To get anything in life you must work for it. The idea of our community is poor so we deserve more holds no weight with me. I have always worked for what I have always never begged never held my hand out even though I came from a very poor broken home. In life you have choices you can work and try and make something of your life respecting the rule of law or you go the other way. However just because you live in a ghetto does not give you a right to go against the rule of law. As for the demonstration I have said from the start and I still will during covid 19 no one should be doing this it shows no respect for the NHS or the police who have to police the idiots on both sides. I hope that clears that up for you and as someone from Northern Ireland I know about a rally or demonstration and they all have the possibility to end in violence.
Mr Floyd was someone who had a dependancy on drugs and had in his past used violence and was a very large person. To me he no matter what colour he was should have still been in jail because of what he did just like all the terrorists in Northern Ireland who were released they should still be in jail and they are all white to the best of my knowledge.
Stop picking at my words and read them I have been clear maybe you just don’t understand Northern Ireland speak. The truth is white and black people murder , rape, steal and in my view they should all be in jail no matter who they are or where they come from. I watched a film yesterday and as it turned out it was about blm. I only found this out at the end. It was about five black guys who served in nam returning to nam years later to get gold they had found there years earlier. It was average as a film in that the acting was terrible but guess what all but one were killed getting the gold and the gold was used to help blm so tell me that blm is not an organisation with crime in the background. In the film the men admitted to killing men, women and children. Shocking fact and more shocking was that this gold was stole to fund blm.

  9. All of the racist, bigoted and uneducated comments brilliant. The types who get their news from the daily mail and facebook but always claim to do loads of research.

BLM will be supporter by our club, players, London and Londoners and theres absolutely nothing you can do to stop it. So make sure you dont watch the games you wont be missed and we win either way.

The world will continue you to change against your views and you will forever be bitter until the day you die.

    • Says someone who by your own words are bitter. London is what it is a dirty hole and has been made that by its mayor with its knife crime. The streets are dirty and run down to be honest you are welcome to it. I don’t understand why my brother stays and nor does he. He says it’s more about what’s on offer even though you pay through the nose for it.
It’s funny years ago they talked about Northern Ireland and walking alone at night. Funny how times have changed how its all turned around and how now its London were you are more likely to be mugged or killed than in Northern Ireland.
As for the football let me deal with it as that was what this post was about. If you think that spurs will win anything oh boy you are really deluded. Twenty years of enic and we have one carling cup. For gods sake Dundee United have won more than us but I guess for the modern day DL London fan it’s all about sitting in a lovely stadium watching us loose week in week out tha and actually winning anything.
So one cup oh and a loss in the CL final in twenty years of Joe Lewis and Daniel Levy.
Just wondering how much money they have made in their successful time in charge. I thought so. A lot more.
