Tottenham returned to Premier League action with a 1-1 draw against Manchester United on Friday night.
Jose Mourinho’s men took the lead through Steven Bergwijn with a little help from David De Gea, but Bruno Fernandes levelled from the spot with 10 minutes to go after Eric Dier brought down Paul Pogba.
Here’s how every Spurs player rated on the night.
Hugo Lloris, 7 – One excellent save from Anthony Martial kept Spurs ahead for a bit longer.
Serge Aurier, 2 – Atrocious in possession. Gave the ball away in dangerous areas numerous times.
Davinson Sanchez, 7 – Made a mess of a clearance early on but grew into it and contributed two vital interceptions.
Eric Dier, 7 – I’m standing up for Dier here. He was solid but for being beaten by a great piece of skill for the penalty, for which Pogba went down a bit easily.
Ben Davies, 6 – Some nice passes forward and mostly steady at the back.
Moussa Sissoko, 7 – Impressively looked fit right until the end and made a crucial interception in stoppage time.
Harry Winks, 7 – Really neat on the ball, often getting Spurs out of tight spots with good feet.
Erik Lamela, 5 – Set the tempo with aggression but let down by his final ball.
Steven Bergwijn, 7 – Scored the opener with a fine burst and powerful shot. Went quiet in the second half.
Son Heung-min, 4 – Never really got going. Clearly not fully match fit.
Harry Kane, 4 – Much like Son he simply wasn’t quite up to playing a competitive game.
Substitutes
Giovani Lo Celso, 6 – Helped Spurs keep the ball better in the final third but couldn’t quite influence the game.
Gedson Fernandes, 5 – Did his best down the left but tired strangely quickly.
Kane stinks. Dier too slow. Lamela deserves better rating.
Lamela wastes countless opportunities, he might work hard and dribble well, but if you can’t provide any end product from CAM, you shouldn’t be on the pitch!!!!!!!!
Fernandez was nearly a Spurs player last year. He’s exactly who we’re missing. A master creator and the replacement for Eriksen. Utd got him and he’s changed them from an ordinary team. Sadly for Spurs, This season is done. Wrong manager completely. Should have known Pogba was going to run the show and put Ndemboly on to hound him
Winks Its too fragile in The middle
fernandez another one that got away, levy must be a great fisherman
Dier had good game Pogba lucky to get away with dive,We had no Harry Kane or Son both had poor games we should have kept Man U out they were as bad as us.Goalscorer packed up never seen again in second half still in changing room we need better squad.
Son and kane never saw enough of the ball
To make any impact on the game
We were too deep and struggled to get any forward movement in midfield
Lack of real quality in lots of areas
A striker who can hold the ball up is a must as kane has been playing as a number 10 for the last two seasons
We need 5 or 6 quality players brought in if we want to stay with the leading pack
Next season
With enic as owners not much chance of that happening
