Former Tottenham defender Kieran Trippier has revealed the series of events that occurred, culminating in him leaving Spurs last summer.
The 29-year-old struggled for consistency last season and was sold to Atletico Madrid for £25million less than two months after starting Tottenham’s Champions League final defeat to Liverpool in Atletico’s Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.
On the The Beautiful Game Podcast, Trippier discussed the conversations he had with both Mauricio Pochettino and Daniel Levy and the rumours he heard prior to his exit.
