Tottenham are interested in signing Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson – and could sign for £10million, if they Cherries are relegated from the Premier League on Sunday afternoon, according to The Sun.

Bournemouth must win at Everton and hope that both Watford and Aston Villa lose their games in order to avoid ending their five-year stay in the top flight.

Wilson signed a new long-term deal with the Cherries last July, but won’t want to drop down to the Championship – especially with next summer’s Euro’s less than 12 months away.

And now Spurs, who’ve been desperate for an adequate back-up to Harry Kane for a number of seasons, could give the ex-Coventry City frontman a Premier League lifeline.

Despite suffering two serious knee injuries in 2015 and then at the start of 2017, the 28-year-old boasts an impressive goal record for Bournemouth since their promotion – netting 41 times in 142 matches, including seven goals this term.

And now Jose Mourinho’s side could take advantage of the Cherries’ relegation by signing the England international at a cut price of just £10m – but only if they lose their Premier League status.

Would you be happy if Spurs were to sign Wilson? Let us know your thoughts below.

  1. If true,at £10M a no brainer.Unfortunately Levy will probably offer £500.000 payment spread over 10 years.
Mandzukic who I believe is out of contract and available would also be a good purchase; an upgrade on Llorente.

  2. he is a good honest workhorse but would bring no real quality to spurs and at this point we should not be buying because a player is cheap — far rather see parrott getting his chance
