Leeds United are interested in signing Tottenham defender Juan Foyth in a £15m deal after their promotion to the Premier League, according to The Sun.
The 23-year-old, who has two years left his current deal, has fallen out of favour since the arrival of Jose Mourinho – making just two appearances under the Portuguese – and hasn’t featured since late-December.
Foyth was brought to England by ex-Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino from Argentinian outfit Estudiantes for £8m in 2017 – and now another Argentine manager Marcelo Biesla wants to sign him and improve his Leeds squad after the Yorkshire-based outfit recently ended their 16-year wait for Premier League football.
Foyth has played just eight games for Spurs this season, but didn’t play a single minute post-lockdown – leaving his future at the club in serious doubt.
We relayed a story from The Sun in May that the defender was a shock target for Barcelona, but those rumours have gone quiet, although Foyth still looks set to leave Tottenham in some capacity this summer.
Would you be dissapointed to see Foyth depart? Let us know your thoughts below.
Please NO. If he can’t get into a bang average Spurs team then why would we not want better?
