Harry Kane admitted that he “can’t be too disappointed” with his goalscoring numbers this season – after missing a large chunk through injury.
Like last term, the England captain ended up bagging 24 goals in all competitions – but in 10 fewer appearances this time around.
It’s the sixth campaign in succession that Kane has scored 20+ goals, and that’s despite missing 15 matches after injuring his hamstring at Southampton on New Year’s Day which required surgery and saw him face a spell on the sidelines.
And after scoring the goal which secured European football against Crystal Palace on Sunday, Kane gave his thoughts on his own personal efforts this season.
"The injury wasn't great halfway through the season but another season with 20+ goals, I can't be too disappointed with that."
