Jack Clarke is attracting attention from a number of Championship sides, but according to the Evening Standard’s Dan Kilpatrick, Jose Mourinho is expected to give the teenager the opportunity to impress during pre-season.

The report suggests that Fulham, who’ve been linked with a loan move for Ryan Sessegnon since securing promotion back to the Premier League, West Brom and Brentford are all interested in a loan deal for the 19-year-old after suffering a frustrating last 12 months.

Clarke joined Spurs from Leeds United in a £10m deal last summer, but was immediately loaned back to the Elland Road outfit to continue his development.

However, after making only four appearances, the winger returned to Tottenham in January before spending the last half of last season at QPR, although he’d feature just six times for the R’s – starting once.

Clarke failed to start a single Championship match throughout the whole of last season – his last coming against Wigan in April 2019 – with his only competitive goal coming for England U20s against Switzerland.

Despite his struggles, Mourinho is expected to give the teenager the chance to showcase his talent in Spurs’ pre-season programme – in a bid to earn a place in the Portuguese’s squad for next season.
