Former Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen has urged Spurs fans to take good care of their new signing Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
The Dane, who left for Inter Milan in January, was a popular figure during his six-and-a-half seasons in north London – and clearly keeps a close eye on the club.
Hojbjerg, a teammate of Eriksen at international level with Denmark, sealed a reported £15m move – according to Sky Sports – from Southampton on Tuesday to become Jose Mourinho’s first summer signing.
If Hojbjerg turns out to be half as successful as his international colleague, then Tottenham are in for a treat. Eriksen had a hand in more than 100 goals in just 226 Premier League appearances and dip in form prior to his January departure was arguably the catalyst for Spurs’ dip in results over the previous 18 months.
Eriksen took to Twitter to wish his Danish teammate good luck in his new chapter – and you can see his full message below.
@SpursOfficial i know you know how to take good care of the Danes. So im sure you will do the same with @hojbjerg23 good luck ?? https://t.co/46DM6OEzD3
