Tottenham midfielder Oliver Skipp is close to joining Norwich City on a season-long loan, according the London Evening Standard’s Dan Kilpatrick.

Last month Jose Mourinho revealed Skipp is set to leave the club on loan to continue his development. The 19-year-old featured a few times off the bench this season and will hope to play more regularly in the Championship next term.

Kilpatrick, who is always reliable when it comes to Spurs news, claims Skipp had interest from two German sides in Wolfsburg and Arminia Bielefeld. But the England Under-21 international chose Norwich in the end after also turning down Fulham, Huddersfield Town and Reading.

Norwich will probably be fighting at the top end of the Championship table next term, so hopefully Skipp will be playing in a successful side.

Kilpatrick also revealed 23-year-old midfielder Luke Amos is heading to QPR on a permanent deal. Tottenham can seemingly afford to let midfielders go following the arrival of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg from Southampton.

Meanwhile, Spurs are reportedly close to completing another signing – read more here.
