Danny Rose’s Tottenham career is almost over – with the left-back set to join Genoa, according to the Press Association.

The 30-year-old defender, whose last appearance for Spurs came in January’s 1-0 defeat against Liverpool, has one year left on his contract in north London, but Jose Mourinho has made his feelings clear that Rose isn’t in his plans moving forward.

In the latest episode of the Amazon documentary All or Nothing, the pair clashed after the defender questioned why he wasn’t being picked, weeks before Rose moved to Newcastle United on loan for the rest of the season, where he’d featured 13 times in all competitions.

And now, PA believe that the England international, who no doubt still has aspirations of making the Three Lions squad for Euro 2021, will move to the Serie A side, although it’s remains unclear whether the deal will be on loan or permanently.

Genoa finished 17th in Italy last season, narrowly avoiding relegation and begin their new campaign at home to Crotone on Sunday week.
